Dr. Jailani Mohd Assumes Chairmanship of APCORE's

International Advisory Board

With the sudden demise of the founding Chairman of Asia Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators (APCORE) Dr. Matthew Eichler of Texas State University, the Board of Incorporators elected Dr. Jailani Mohd as the new leader of the International Advisory Board (IAB) of the organization.

Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohd Jailani Mohd Nor is a distinguished researcher and scholar from the University Teknikal Malaysia Melaka. He serves as a Deputy Vice Chancellor, Research and Innovation, at the same university. He previously served as Director for the Institutions of Higher Education Excellence Planning Division at the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, and was Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Deputy Dean (Academic) and Deputy Director, Centre for Research and Innovation Management (CRIM), at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

The new steward of APCORE graduated with honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Oklahoma State University, USA in 1984. In 1988, he received M.Sc. degree from same university. In 1996, he received the Ph.D. degree from Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom.

Dr. Nor will bring scholarship, excellence and integrity in the organization.

Other elected members of IAB are Dr. Adam D. Kiss (Burman University, Canada), Dr. Atsushi Nozawa (Meiji University, Japan), Dr. H.K Prihartono AH (Politeknik Piksi Ganesha, Indonesia), Dr. Manuel M. Muhi (Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Philippines), Dr. Basanta Kumar (Utkal University, India), Dr. Ritthikorn Siriprasertchok (Burapha University, Thailand), Dr. Didik Sulitsyanto (Budi Luhur University, Indonesia), and Dr. Sheyene Krysher (Texas State University, USA).
