Training on Hi-Impact Teaching

September 17-18, 2019

Hotel Jen Manila

In this period of very advanced technology, multiculturalism and multilingualism, the need to ensure that each student in a classroom is enjoying a positive atmosphere, increasing productivity, motivating each other towards excellence, and achieving desired outcomes is very necessary. The advanced technology and diverse culture and language may greatly distract the attention of a student and may unable to reach his/her utmost potential. The situation today may be envisioned by Richard Bandler and John Grinder who created the Neuro-Linguistic Programme (NLP) in 1970s.

NLP, as a method, is said to achieve specific goals in life through the combination of neurological processes, behavioral patterns learned through experience and language. In education, this can help learners acquire other skills through modelling by exceptional people.

This intensive training on innovative teaching methods aims to introduce powerful techniques towards a more effective and efficient teaching and learning experience.

At the end of the training period, the participants are expected to:

1.      Recall authentic and relevant experiences that can lead towards the creation of a continuous learning cycles and problem solving

2.      Associate experience in acquiring knowledge and skills

3.      Design a learner-centered classroom while integrating teaching-learning theories and practices

Teachers and/or pre-service teachers in the basic education program (kindergarten – Grade 12) are encouraged to participate in the training. This is deliberately and strategically designed for their advantage since they are handling learners who are very agile, technology savvy and diverse in culture and language. This may help them to elicit the greatest potential among the learners of this generation.
